Birds in New Jersey 2014

2 November 2014 - a great birdwatching day, continued

Usually considered nuisance birds, and they're not native to North America, house sparrows are still great fun to watch.
They usually do things in groups. If one discovers the pleasure of a chilly November bath....

Soon enough, another house sparrow joins in.

A few seconds later, there are four at the bath.

Then, five.

Six.

Seven.

Eight!

Clean feathers keep the birds warm during the chilly nights.
