24 September 2015 - Woodpecker stays the night
Early evening:
After eating at the suet feeder and making loud squeaks, this little male downy woodpecker squeaked near the nestbox at the side of our porch, then flew into the nestbox that had formerly housed the chickadee family. He looked out the entrance hole. After a few minutes, he disappeared inside and stayed the night in the nestbox.
30 August 2015 - Hummingbird
A few weeks earlier, this tiny bird stayed quite a while at the sugar-water feeder.
