Sunday, 29 June and Monday, 30 2014. Female house finch.

Monday, 30 June 2014. One rock dove couple share a different feature: a long brilliant white part of the wing.

And then, after nearly three months, it finally happens. The male northern cardinal tries out the feeder.

On Monday, 30 June a suet feeder was put out. It's supposed to attract cardinals and woodpeckers. To our delight,
a small downy woodpecker tried it out. The next day, 1 July, it came back.
