Birds in New Jersey 2014

1 November 2014 -

The new month began very wet. Birds eat, rain or shine.

Because of the heavy rain, seed was spread under a large bush. Many small birds appeared, mostly house sparrows, to
chow down out of the rain.

The females have yellow bills; the male in the center has its distinctive "angry" dark area going from its beak up over its eye,
and a dark bill.

Squirrels also were able to munch out of the rain
